Drone Cleaning Starter Kit
What You Need to Start Cleaning with Chemitek Products
Buying a cleaning drone is the exciting part. Getting consistent, professional cleaning results is what comes next — and that depends far more on your ground setup than most new operators expect.
If you’re asking:
“I have a cleaning drone. What do I need to start cleaning using Chemitek products?”
…the answer is a complete, connected system designed to handle both chemical application and effective rinsing — all in one integrated workflow.

The diagram in the image shows exactly that: professional equipment with filtration, soft water capacity, controlled chemical mixing, powerful pumping, injection technology, foam generation, and hoses and nozzles suitable for safely supplying everything to the drone. While different cleaning approaches exist, high pressure ensures proper projection, reach, and effective rinsing at height. Within this pressure washing setup, two components are absolutely critical:
- The chemical injector
- The foam nozzle
These are the elements that determine how well Chemitek products perform in real working conditions.
The Pressure Washing Setup
Your pressure washing setup will primarily be defined by the drone model that you have. The high-pressure pump needs to be in line with the specifications (maximum water flow and pressure and maximum weight capacity) of the drone manufacturer.
The maximum pressure and flow will be used to define the high-pressure pump, the chemical injector and the foam nozzle. The maximum weight will limit the combination of height and hose type (the larger the diameter and weight of the hose, the lower the drone will be to fly).
As an example, below is the setup for the ABZ C10 drone according to the model maximum capabilities.
Kärcher HD 7/20 G Classic – The High-Pressure Foundation
According to Kärcher, this cold water high-pressure cleaner features:
- EU STAGE V petrol engine (no external power supply required)
- 200 bar working pressure
- Up to 700 litres per hour flow rate
- Robust crankshaft pump
- Large integrated water filter
- Thermo and safety valve protection
- Puncture-proof wheels and tubular steel frame
- Ergonomic push handle and accessory storage
High pressure provides the projection and mechanical force required for professional drone cleaning.
The Critical Component: Suttner ST-160 Chemical Injector
In any high-pressure drone setup using Chemitek products, the chemical injector is one of the most important components.
The Suttner ST-160 injector, paired with the ST-161 metering valve, allows controlled dosing of cleaning products into the pressurised water flow.
Key details:
- ST-45-250 inlet coupling (nickel-plated brass)
- ST-45-25 outlet plug (stainless steel)
- Nozzle sizes: 1.8 mm / 2.3 mm
- 2,000 mm suction hose
- ST-31 suction filter
- Rated up to 250 bar / 90°C (verify configuration)
The injector ensures accurate product dilution and consistent chemical delivery — essential for drone cleaning.
Without a reliable injector, performance and cost become unpredictable.
The Second Critical Component: Suttner ST-75 Foam Head
The second key element in a professional drone cleaning setup is the foam nozzle.
The Suttner ST-75 Foam Head, specifically designed to work with the ST-160 injector. Together with our foam intensive formulas, this foam head transforms the injected solution into thick, clinging foam.
Specifications:
- 1/4" female inlet
- Rated up to 350 bar
- Max temperature 100°C
- Brass inlet
- Weight: 0.16 kg
- Replaceable injection nozzle (ST 75 Foam Nozzle Jet)
Foam improves:
- Surface adhesion
- Contact time
- Cleaning efficiency
- Visual control during application
For the Chemitek drone range, the injector + foam head combination is critical for optimal results.
Softwash needs to be an option? Choose your equipment carefully
When working with sodium hypochlorite (aka bleach), equipment selection becomes even more important.
To increase adhesion and improve cleaning performance, our Drone Surface Cleaning Agent - Organic is your go to product for a surfactant and booster. It enhances surface cling and acts as a cleaning booster.
However, SH is aggressive. A softwash system must include:
- Chemical-resistant proportional valves
- A chemical-ready pump with high flow and medium pressure
- A shooter nozzle capable of applying bleach at greater distance
Applying SH at long range helps protect the drone from chemical exposure and overspray.
The critical component for Softwashing
The typical softwash setup adds the chemicals upstream of the pump. Therefore, the pump needs to be prepared to handle them.
Remember, when bleach is part of your workflow, chemical resistance is not optional — it is essential.
The Comet P40-GR-CBP-E diaphragm pump is suitable for this type of work because it includes:
- Chemical-resistant wet parts
- Polypropylene / stainless construction
- Viton diaphragm
- 40 LPM (11.5 GPM) max flow
- 20 bar (300 PSI) max pressure
- Single-piece manifold for reduced leak points
If you require higher pressure (e.g. to use a smaller diameter hose), the Comet APS41 might be option for you. The flow is similar and the maximum is 40 bar (580 PSI).
When softwashing vertical surfaces, the use of a foam shooter nozzle is a good option to reduce runoff and increase soaking time. The Water Dragon Long Range Foam Nozzle is an interesting option, if you are in the USA. The softwash setup is also a good alternative for the application of our Drone Stain Breaker. Being a spray and leave product, there is no need for pressure rinsing. The foam shooter nozzle is the right accessory for this case.
Glass Cleaning is in your scope of services? Soft water is a must!
In the specific case of glass cleaning, we strongly recommend rinsing our Drone Glass Cleaning Agent with soft water to prevent and mineral spotting and staining. Soft water can be obtained by:
- Using our WSA (Water Softening Agent) with a Dosatron dosing and mixing system
- Or through an RO/DI purification system
Using soft water improves finish quality and reduces post-cleaning residue — particularly important for windows, glass façades, and solar panels. If you are facing a glass façade that already contains mineral spotting and/or staining, the Drone Surface Cleaning Agent – Inorganic is your product. It will remove the minerals in that first cleaning and, in the next cleanings, the use of the Drone Glass Cleaning Agent will be enough.
The Essential Drone Cleaning Starter Kit
To summarize, for professional drone cleaning with Chemitek products, the essential components are:
- A strong high-pressure pump like the Kärcher HD 7/20 G Classic
- A precise chemical injector like the Suttner ST-160 injector + ST-161 metering valve
- A foam nozzle like the Suttner ST-75 Foam Head + Foam Nozzle Jet
When configured correctly, this system delivers:
- Controlled chemical application
- High foaming levels
- Efficient Rinsing
High pressure is the recommended method for the Chemitek drone range, and the success of the system depends primarily on the correct injector and foam nozzle working together.
That’s the professional drone cleaning starter kit.
