AgroPV Drone Cleaning Agent

Drone-compatible cleaning solution for agrivoltaic plants.

Biodegradable Drone Cleaning Solution for AgroPV Installations

AgroPV Drone Cleaning Agent (ADA) is a biodegradable cleaning solution developed for drone-based cleaning of agrivoltaic (AgroPV) photovoltaic systems.

Chemitek’s AgroPV Solutions are the first and only range developed and independently tested specifically for AgroPV plants, and ADA enables efficient, contactless cleaning while preserving crops, soil, and surrounding ecosystems.

Agrivoltaic installations often face high levels of organic soiling, agricultural residues, and dust, while ground access can be limited due to crops and ongoing agricultural activity. ADA enables efficient drone-assisted cleaning, removing organic contaminants while minimizing operational impact.

Unlike conventional cleaning products, ADA has been tested for agricultural environments, ensuring compatibility with crops, soil, and farming conditions while maintaining optimal photovoltaic performance.

Tested and Approved for AgroPV Systems

AgroPV installations require cleaning solutions that are not only effective but also safe for agricultural environments.

AgroPV Drone Cleaning Agent has been independently tested to ensure:

  • Compatibility with seed germination
  • Compatibility with plant growth
  • Ecotoxicity assessment for agricultural environments
  • Biodegradable formulation
  • Certified as safe for photovoltaic modules and crops by independent laboratories

These tests confirm that ADA can be safely used in agrivoltaic installations where solar panels coexist with crops and agricultural activity.

How It Works

AgroPV Drone Cleaning Agent is a concentrated, touchless cleaning solution designed for application using drone spraying systems.

The product is diluted with water and applied directly to solar panels using a foamer nozzle. After a short reaction time, it breaks down organic soiling such as dust, pollen, bird droppings, and agricultural residues.

The panels are then rinsed with water to remove dispersed contaminants and remaining product, restoring module transparency and photovoltaic performance.

Instructions for Use

  • Dilute ADA with water from 1:50 (heavy soiling) to 1:150 (light soiling)
  • Apply the solution directly onto the panels using a drone-mounted foamer nozzle
  • Allow approximately 5 minutes of action time
  • Rinse thoroughly with water
  • Allow panels to dry naturally

FAQs
  • Agrivoltaic installations are often built above crops, limiting ground access for traditional cleaning equipment. Drone cleaning enables efficient maintenance without disturbing crops or agricultural activity.

It also allows faster cleaning of large installations while reducing operational impact on the land.

  • ADA removes organic soiling commonly found in agricultural environments, including dust, pollen, bird droppings, agricultural residues, and other airborne particles.

  • Agrivoltaic systems combine solar energy production with agricultural activity. Cleaning solutions must therefore be effective while remaining safe for crops, soil, and surrounding ecosystems.

  • Yes. The product has been tested to confirm:

    • Compatibility with seed germination
    • Compatibility with plant growth
    • Ecotoxicity assessment for agricultural environments
    • Biodegradable formulation
  • For heavy soiling, use a dilution of 1:50. For lighter soiling, dilution can be increased up to 1:150.

  • Yes. The product is compatible with drone spraying systems equipped with foamer nozzles or similar equipment.

Performance may vary depending on drone configuration and operating parameters.
